​GIMTA Piano Ensemble​


Teacher Checklist

Suggested Teacher Timeline
  • July:
    • look at repertoire options (see Repertoire Quick Links above)
    • start visiting with studio families about the opportunity and date (this informational flyer can be provided to share with families)
 
  • August:
    • register students for selected pieces
    • have families sign the performer form stating they understand the policies, rehearsal requirement, etc.
    • register to participate in teacher ensemble piece, if interested!
 
  • September:
    • teach pieces to students, bringing them up to the specified metronome setting
    • prepare music in black binder (see FORM 1: Teacher Responsibilities for details)
  • October:
    • DUE October 25, 2025: submit a recording of the student playing their piece with the metronome at the specified performance tempo (recommended teachers record and submit during lessons Oct 20-25). Details found in FORM 1: Teacher Responsibilities

  • November:
    • prepare for fun!
    • be ready to be present the day of the event, volunteering during the day and evening
In order to successfully register your students for the GIMTA Piano Ensemble, please use the following list:

​REGISTRATION STEPS: 
  1. Carefully review the steps outlined in FORM 2: Registration Instructions.
  2. Use FORM 3: Registration Worksheet to gather all necessary information for online registration process. ​​
  3. Register online using the button below! (The button is only active during the open registration period.)
  4. ​​Submit the registration fee for all your students via Paypal or paper check (see FORM 2 for details).
  5. **Registration is not complete until you have received BOTH emails listed at the bottom of Form 2.**
    • ​EMAIL 1: "Receipt of Registration Submitted"
    • EMAIL 2: "Confirmation of Ensemble Music Selections and Parts"
REGISTER
AFTER REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION HAS BEEN RECEIVED:
  • Review FORM 4: Performer Rehearsals & Concert Form with the student and family
    • Prepare the black binder with student music and printed concert form​

  • Review the Rehearsal Schedule (found in Quick Links on main website)
 
  • Prepare your students with their music!
    • Utilize the 2025 Repertoire Audio Recordings at performance tempo (available in August)
    • ​Follow preparation requirements listed in FORM 1: Teacher Responsibilities
    • Record students the week of October 20-25, following guidelines in FORM 1.

  • Student/Parent Info: 
    • Share this Student/Parent info link with your performers and their families
 
  •  Consider purchasing your own Shout Out Ad to celebrate your students
    • ​Available for $25
    • Will appear in the printed program
